Please join us for our Annual Gala event as we celebrate 20 years of being Santa Barbara's resident professional ballet company! Our past, present, and future successes are because of numerous "gems" in our community who have been dedicated and devoted to the arts for the past two decades. Our Gala will honor them in true State Street Ballet fashion - with elegance, style, entertainment, excitement, and of course, dancing! One of the most popular fundraisers in town, this years numerous and outstanding honorees deserve to have the night of their lives, from cocktails and live music in the garden, to dinner and dance performances throughout the evening. Cheers to our Santa Barbara community for supporting us for 20 years!

State Street Ballet's 20th Anniversary season opener is a dynamic and innovative adaptation of a timeless classic! This World Premiere performance is a newly re-imagined story based on the legendary tale of the Persian queen and storyteller of "One Thousand and One Nights". A journey through the sands of the Arabian deserts, Scheherazade is a mystical tale of love and emotional adventure that will speak to the hearts of all audiences. Choreographed by former SSB dancer and critically-acclaimed choreographer Autumn Eckman, this is the perfect way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary Season!
This evening length program will also feature Tango Rain choreographed by visionary resident choreographer William Soleau. Set to the captivating music of Astor Piazzolla, the jazzy yet classical Tango Rain returns to the Granada stage, bringing with it the passion, energy, and style that have become State Street Ballet's trademarks.
