Gabriel Ramirez

Gabriel began his ballet training at 15 at the Los Angeles Ballet Academy under the tutelage of Andrea Paris-Gutierrez and Jose Carayol. After two years of training, he joined Orlando Ballet 2 under the direction of Philip Broomhead. Gabriel decided to pursue his education and was accepted into the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, where he completed a four-year BFA. In his Freshman year, he won third place at YAGP Indianapolis and was invited to participate in the New York finals but was unable to attend because of the COVID-19 pandemic. While at UNCSA, Gabriel performed in works by Claudia Scheier, George Balanchine, Gina Patterson, and Ilya Kozadayev. He began his professional career with Nevada Ballet Theatre as Company Artist for the 2023-2024 season. Gabriel was featured in various works such as Nicolo Fonte’s Carmina Burana, Jerome Robbins’s The Concert, George Balanchine’s Serenade, and an original piece by Alexis Ochin and Arnaud Boursain. Gabriel was a guest artist in State Street Ballet’s Common Ground by Edgar Zendejas during their 2023-2024 season and joined as a new company member for the 2024-2025 season. With State Street Ballet, Gabriel performed as Coffee in Rodney Gustafson’s The Nutcracker, “The Man I Love” pas de deux in George Balanchine’s “Who Cares?” and many others.
