Volunteer Opportunities with State Street Ballet

We’re always grateful for the time and talents of our wonderful volunteers! There are many ways to get involved and support the company:

• Guild Members – Assist our active Guild, which helps at patron events, performances, receptions, and the annual Gala.

  • Benefits: Complimentary admission to performances and the opportunity to connect with fellow arts supporters and company artists.

• Housing Sponsors – Provide short-term housing for visiting artists (i.e. choreographers, guest dancers, and lighting, costume, or production designers) during rehearsals and performances.

  • Benefits: Complimentary performance tickets, behind-the-scenes access to the creative process, and the chance to build lasting relationships with professional artists from around the world.

• Office and Mailing Support – Help with mailings, data entry, and simple administrative projects throughout the year (i.e. annual appeal letters, assembling small gifts, phone call followup).

  • Benefits: Flexible hours, a welcoming team environment, and the satisfaction of directly supporting the company’s day-to-day operations.

• Costume Assistants – If you have skills in hand sewing or using a sewing machine, join our friendly costume crew to help prepare and maintain costumes for productions.

  • Benefits: Backstage access, hands-on involvement in production work, and the joy of seeing your contributions come to life on stage.

• Studio Handyperson – We always appreciate volunteers who can help with small maintenance or repair projects around the studio.

  • Benefits: Flexible scheduling, a supportive and creative atmosphere, and the chance to make a tangible difference in our artistic home.
