Matthew Hofer

Matt is a third-generation Santa Barbara native who was a proud “theater and choir kid” from elementary through high school.  After obtaining his B.A. in Political Science and History from UCLA and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, he practiced law in Los Angeles for two large international law firms.  Matt and his wife (also an attorney) moved back to Santa Barbara in 2020, where they are practicing with local law firms while raising their two young sons and a miniature Australian Shepherd.  Matt is a shareholder with the firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck (formerly Hatch & Parent), where he primarily practices in the areas of environmental law, land use, and civil litigation.  He is thrilled and honored to be part of State Street Ballet as it continues to succeed and grow in its artistic endeavors.
