State Street Ballet Gala

Step back in time, into a world of gothic glamor and dark opulence as State Street Ballet invites you to celebrate 32 years of artistry, community, and imagination, honoring long-time board member and past president Roger Thompson. Inspired by our season opener Dracula, a dark shadow, we invite you to a splendid salon where high art meets the hauntingly beautiful.

Highlights of the evening include:

  • An hour of spirited libation accompanied by live music, splendid company, and Victorian fashions modeled by our dancers

  • An exclusive performance featuring three pieces curated specifically for the Gala and performed at Hahn Hall:

    • George Balanchine’s ethereal Serenade, performed in memory of Arlyn Goldsby

    • An original excerpt from Dracula, a dark shadow, choreographed by Nicolas Blanc with music by Philip Glass

    • Kassandra Taylor Newberry’s FOLD, an acclaimed contemporary work inspired by a high-stakes poker game

  • A paddle raise and silent auction offering unique experiences and opportunities to support the ballet

  • An exquisite dinner and dessert beneath a moonlit sky

Join us for an evening of dance, fashion, and philanthropy where artistry and intrigue take center stage. This event is known to sell out. We encourage early reservation.
