The evening opens with the full orchestra onstage, performing Shostakovich’s jubilant Festive Overture and Rachmaninoff’s electrifying Symphonic Dances. Then, as the orchestra moves to the pit, a world of passion, conflict, and exquisite movement takes center stage with a new Romeo and Juliet. This world of star-crossed lovers, told through bold choreography and soaring symphonic sound, marks a thrilling start to the season
